The Sindhica Reforms Society (SRS) is a non-profit, nonsectarian, one of the indigenous environmental protection organizations in Pakistan, operating since 1993. Accredited by the UN Environment Programme and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), SRS hosts the GEF CSO Global Secretariat and serves as the Regional Focal Point for the GEF CSO network in the South regions.

SRS provides services in water, sanitation, hygiene, and environmental problems in pakistan, with a focus on protecting flora, fauna, and natural resources. Our primary beneficiaries are vulnerable communities, including women, adolescent girls, children, minorities, Indigenous groups, forest communities, urban slum residents, as well as forests, birds, and animals.
SRS has undertaken numerous successful interventions, social events, and projects across various contexts, gaining national and international recognition. A major milestone is Pakistan’s first Constructed Wetland Module for biological wastewater treatment and recycling in Shaheed Benazirabad.
This pilot project, a pioneering model in the country, is widely acclaimed and replicated nationwide, with SRS providing technical support to various national and international organizations.

Muhammad Ameen Keryo, a renowned wastewater expert, environmentalist, and devoted social worker, stands as the visionary founder of Sindhica Reforms Society.
With a remarkable humanitarian journey that began at the age of 16, Mr. Keryo established SRS in 1993.
Despite facing life threats and challenges entrenched in the feudal system, he relentlessly championed the cause of the most vulnerable communities, elevating SRS from a small village Majeed Keerio, initiative to a national-level organization.
A pioneer in conservation, Mr. Keryo introduced Pakistan’s first Constructed Wetland (Reed Bed) system for biological wastewater treatment.
His mentor, Dr. Roshan Raj Shrestha of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has been instrumental in guiding his innovative contributions to Pakistan environmental sustainability.
Furthermore, Mr. Keryo actively collaborates with national and international organizations and serves as a technical advisor for wastewater treatment projects, both in Green Pakistan and abroad.
His dedication to humanitarian and environmental causes has left an indelible mark on the landscape of social and Pakistan green.
